Jane Walton - Trainer

Jane has worked with horses all her life. Jane started training racehorses in 2010 after being Assistant Trainer for her farther Alistair Charlton, and also previously successfully training point to pointers. It is Jane's passion to buy and produce quality athletic racehorses. She continually aims to improve every horse that comes to the yard, and her aim is to have a small yard of quality horses where every horse gets the individual attention that they need to succeed.

Trish Robson - Assistant Trainer

Trish has ridden horses and ponies all her life. After leaving school Trish went to Nottingham University and completed a degree in Animal Science. After 5 years of working in animal health research, Trish began training Point to Pointers and then became Assistant Trainer for Jane in 2010.

Trish is also our in house Equine Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist and helps keep the horses in great shape along side our training programes. Massage therapy is good for the horses on many levels, especially mentally and physically.

Peter Mayland - Farrier

Peter has been our farrier at the yard for over 20 years! He is great at keeping our horses feet balanced, and we don't loose many shoes!

Jackie Chapman - Chiropractor

Jackie is a McTimony Chiropractor who lives locally to the yard. When horses need extra support, Jackies chiro sessions can be very beneficial along side our training programs and other body work. Every aspect of our horses health and well being is catered for when required

Our Yard

The hills of Northumberland provide a very clean and fresh environment in which to train horses. The hills provide plenty of routes for conditioning work. We have a new half mile all weather straight, uphill gallop, which provides a reliable gallop surface during the winter months. There are hundreds of acres of grassland which is great for training on in the drier months and for schooling.

We have 10 stables, lunging circle, 5 bay horse walker, In-house equine massage practitioner, Magnetopulse machine, small turn out paddocks for all year round use, three large paddocks with good grazing during the summer, 2 horse Equi-Trek wagon for horse transport.
